SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 69

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
join the citizens of Cypress in recognizing Kyle Douglas Page of 
Troop 1987, who is receiving the Eagle Scout Award from the Boy 
Scouts of America; and

	WHEREAS, Only two out of every 100 Boy Scouts earn the 
exceptional privilege of being named to the elite corps of
Eagle Scouts; and

	WHEREAS, This fine young man displayed outstanding 
leadership through the planning and execution of a service 
project which has helped his community; and

	WHEREAS, Kyle researched the benefits of gardening for the 
elderly; he then designed, constructed, and delivered a 
wheelchair accessible gardening table for a local 
assisted-living facility; he raised money for the cost of the 
project and created a fund to be used by the residents of the 
facility for their gardening projects; and

	WHEREAS, Kyle is truly a shining example for his troop and 
an excellent representative of the young people of Texas; now, 
therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend
Kyle Douglas Page for earning the rank of Eagle Scout and 
congratulate him on his great achievement; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
Eagle Scout Page as an expression of high regard from the 
Texas Senate.
