SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 127
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Theodore Hansford, who retired as deputy sheriff on
December 28, 2005, after 22 years of service to the citizens of
Bexar County; and
WHEREAS, Theodore Hansford began his career in law
enforcement when he was appointed deputy constable by Constable
Charlie Campos in 1983; and
WHEREAS, After a year of on-the-job training, he attended
the San Antonio College Law Enforcement Academy and earned a
peace officer's license; and
WHEREAS, Through the years, he worked in the Bexar County
Sheriff's Department, the district courts, the county courts,
and the justice center; and
WHEREAS, Conscientious and dependable, Theodore handled
his many responsibilities in law enforcement with exceptional
dedication and resourcefulness, and he was admired and respected
by all who worked with him; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Deputy
Sheriff Theodore Hansford for his service in Bexar County and
extend to him best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
