SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 144

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Dee Susong for her years of outstanding service as a 
teacher with the Austin Independent School District; and

	WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, 
Dee has taught special education in the district for 19 years; 
her students have greatly benefited from her skillful teaching 
methods, her sincere concern for each individual, and her wise 
counsel and encouragement; and

	WHEREAS, Dee currently teaches at Bryker Woods Elementary 
School, where she is known for her enthusiasm for her work; her 
commitment to her students includes a willingness to work after 
school hours to ensure that they achieve success; and

	WHEREAS, A dedicated and resourceful educator, Dee passes 
on to her students her appreciation of hard work and love of 
challenge so that they too acquire a lifelong love of learning; 
and

	WHEREAS, Dee has had a positive influence on the lives of 
her students and has played a major role in helping to prepare 
them to succeed in tomorrow's world; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Dee Susong 
for her many contributions to the Austin Independent School 
District and for her dedication to her students; and, be it 
further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
