SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 153
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of Kingwood in congratulating Joseph Richard Fochtman of Boy Scout Troop 1377, who recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and WHEREAS, Few are privileged to be named among the ranks of the elite corps of Eagle Scouts; only two out of every 100 Boy Scouts earn this distinguished honor; and WHEREAS, Joseph completed a service project that required him to exercise his leadership abilities and at the same time benefit his community; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young man earned 45 Merit Badges and numerous awards, including the God and Country Award and World Conservation Award, and he was named brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow; and WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and promise, Joseph advanced from Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes to Eagle Scout; he is truly an exemplary citizen of the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Joseph Richard Fochtman on earning the rank of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his great accomplishment; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Eagle Scout Fochtman as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
