No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.


The bill would clarify language in the Fiscal Programs of the Comptroller of Public Accounts Miscellaneous Claims Rider #3, Appropriation, Payment of Miscellaneous Claims, to increase the limit for claims for the Indigent Defense Program to $50,000.

The bill would take effect immediately upon enactment, assuming that it received the requisite two-thirds majority votes in both houses of the Legislature. Otherwise, it would take effect on 91st day after the last day of the legislative session.
