Fiscal Analysis

The bill would appropriate $430,000 to the Comptroller of Public Accounts to pay for the judgment awarded in Anna M. Abraham v. The Texas Rehabilitation Commission on November 10, 2004.

The bill would take effect immediately upon enactment, assuming that it received the requisite two-thirds majority votes in both houses of the Legislature. Otherwise, it would take effect on 91st day after the last day of the legislative session.

Methodology

This analysis assumes the appropriation to the Comptroller of Public Accounts of $430,000 would be from the General Revenue Fund in FY 2006.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
