Amend CSHB 2 in Section 1A.01 of the bill, in added Section 
42.151, Education Code, as follows:
	(1)  On page 9, line 9, strike "Funds" and substitute "Except 
as provided by Subsection (m), funds".
	(2)  On page 10, between lines 19 and 20, insert the 
following:              
	(m)  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a school 
district may use funds allocated under this section to provide 
Saturday classes for third grade students who fail to perform 
satisfactorily on an assessment instrument administered under 
Section 39.023.
