Amend CSHB 2 on page 74, between lines 10 and 11, by inserting 
the following new section, appropriately numbered, and renumbering 
the subsequent sections of Part 2C of the bill accordingly:
	SECTION 2C.___.  Subchapter D, Chapter 11, Education Code, 
is amended by adding Section 11.170 to read as follows:
	Sec. 11.170.  CONFLICTS OF INTEREST.  (a)  A member of the 
board of trustees of a school district may not receive any financial 
benefit for personal services performed by the member for any 
business entity that conducts or solicits business with the 
district.
	(b)  This section controls to the extent of any conflict 
between this section and Chapter 171, Local Government Code.
