System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.

	
Amend CSHB 55 as follows:                                                    
	(1)  On page 1, line 9, strike "Dallas and Tarrant Counties" 
and substitute "this state that has not been otherwise designated 
by the legislature or by this state".
	(2)  on page 1, between lines 20 and 21, insert the following:                 
	(e)  Notwithstanding Subsections (a) and (b), if a political 
subdivision of this state has named a segment of Interstate Highway 
20 that is located in the territory of the political subdivision, 
that segment may retain and continue to have that name and the 
department is not required to remove any signage or markings that 
indicate that name.
