System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.

	Amend CSHB 695 as follows:                                                   

(1)  Strike page 1, line 14 through page 3, line 1.
	(2)  On page 3, line 2, strike "48.005" and substitute 
"48.002".
	(3)  On page 3, line 3, strike "a proclamation of".                     
	(4)  On page 3, line 4, strike "is in effect for" and 
substitute "for any consumer good or service occurs in".
	(5)  On page 3, lines 14-15, strike "occurrence of the event 
or circumstance identified by the governor's proclamation as 
preventing" and substitute "abnormal disruption of the market that 
prevents".
	(6)  On page 3, lines 17-19, strike "a deceptive trade 
practice under Subchapter E, Chapter 17, and constitutes a separate 
violation from any violation of Section 17.46(b)(27)" and 
substitute "considered a false, misleading, or deceptive act or 
practice for purposes of Section 17.46(a), and is subject to action 
only by the consumer protection division of the attorney general's 
office as provided by Section 17.46(a)".
