Amend HB 1006 by adding the following section to the bill, 
appropriately numbered, and renumbering existing sections 
accordingly:
	SECTION     .  Section 26.07, Tax Code, is amended by adding 
subsection (h) to read as follows:
	Sec. 26.07(h) This section does not apply to a taxing entity 
for which the total tax rate proposed for the current tax year would 
impose taxes for maintenance and operations in an amount less than 
$5 million.
