Amend HB 1826 (House committee printing) on page 1, lines
5-11, by striking SECTION 1 of the bill and substituting the
following:
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 11, Education Code, is
amended by adding Section 11.168 to read as follows:
Sec. 11.168. USE OF DISTRICT RESOURCES PROHIBITED FOR
CERTAIN PURPOSES. (a) The board of trustees of a school district
may not enter into an agreement authorizing the use of school
district employees, property, or resources for the design,
construction, or renovation of improvements to real property not
owned or leased by the district.
(b) This section does not prohibit the board of trustees of a
school district from entering into an agreement with another
governmental entity for the construction or renovation of
improvements to real property if the improvements are used:
(1) by the district for district purposes; or
(2) jointly by the district and the governmental entity
for district purposes.
