Amend HB 2339 (Senate committee printing) by adding the 
following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and 
renumbering the remaining SECTIONS of the bill appropriately:
	SECTION ____.  Subchapter D, Chapter 11, Education Code, is 
amended by adding Section 11.168 to read as follows:
	Sec. 11.168.  ELECTIONEERING PROHIBITED.  Notwithstanding 
any other law, the board of trustees of an independent school 
district may not use state or local funds or other resources of the 
district to electioneer for or against any candidate, measure, or 
political party.
