Amend HB 2795 (Senate committee printing) in SECTION 2 of the 
bill by striking amended Subsection (a), Section 815.002, 
Government Code (page 1, lines 23-30), and substituting the 
following:
	(a)  Three members of the board of trustees are appointed 
with the advice and consent of the senate, one each by:
		(1)  the governor;                                                            
		(2)  the lieutenant governor [chief justice of the 
Supreme Court of Texas]; and
		(3)  the speaker of the house of representatives.
