Amend HB 3112 (House engrossment) as follows:                                
	(1)  In Section 1 of the bill, in added Subchapter B, Chapter 
2059, Government Code (page 2, between lines 4 and 5), insert a new 
Section 2059.052 to read as follows:
	Sec. 2059.052.  SERVICES PROVIDED TO INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER 
EDUCATION.  The department may provide network security services to 
an institution of higher education, and may include an institution 
of higher education in a center, only if and to the extent approved 
by the Information Technology Council for Higher Education.
	(2)  Renumber the sections of Subchapter B, Chapter 2059, 
Government Code, and cross-references to those sections 
accordingly.
