Amend CSHB 3540 (committee printing) as follows:                             
	(1)  On page 29, strike lines 18-27 and substitute: pounds or 
less is:       
		(1)  $43 [$40.50] for a vehicle the model year of which 
is more than six years before the year in which the registration 
year begins; or
		(2)  [$50.50 for a vehicle the model year of which is 
more than three years but is six years or less before the year in 
which the registration year begins; or]
		[(3)]  $58.50 for a vehicle the model year of which is 
six [three] years or less before the year in which the registration 
year begins.
