Amend CSSB 1 as follows:                                                     
	In Article II, under the appropriations to the Department of 
Family and Protective Services (page II-35) make the following 
change:
	20. Faith-based Foster Family Recruitment and Training. From 
funds appropriated above, up to $500,000 in fiscal year 2006 and up 
to $706,000 in fiscal year 2007 shall be used for the purposes of 
developing and implementing a program to recruit and train foster 
families from faith-based communities. The Department shall keep 
statistics documenting the number of families recruited and 
trained. The Department will report back to the legislature with 
such statistics.
