Amend CSSB 9 as follows:                                                     
	In SECTION 10 of the bill, Section 791.006, Government Code, 
strike Subsection (a) and replace it with the following:
	(a)  If governmental units In the absence of a contract, 
under this chapter to  if a municipality, county, rural fire 
prevention district, emergency services district, fire protection 
agency, organized volunteer group, joint board or other emergency 
services entity furnishes or obtain the fire or emergency services 
to another municipality, county, rural of a fire prevention 
district, emergency services district, fire protection agency, 
organized volunteer group, joint board or other emergency services 
entity, each department, the governmental unit that would have been 
is responsible for furnishing the services in the absence of the 
contract is responsible its own actions for any civil liability 
that arises from the furnishing or obtaining of those services.
