Amend SB 395 in Section 1 of the bill as follows:                            
	(1)  In the introductory language for Section 1 of the bill 
(committee printing, page 1, line 12), between "(e)," and "and", 
insert "(e-1),".
	(2)  At the end of proposed Subsection (e), Article 27.18, 
Code of Criminal Procedure (committee printing, page 1, line 21), 
add the following:
	(e-1) Subsection (e) does not prohibit a court from granting 
a defendant's motion for change of venue during the trial of the 
defendant.
