Amend the Geren amendment to CSSB 422 as follows:                            
	(1)  On page 1 of the amendment, line 5, strike "one million" 
and substitute "1.4 million or more that is adjacent to another 
county with a population of 1.4 million or more".
	(2)  On page 1 of the amendment, strike lines 6-8 and 
substitute the following:
	(2)  On page 17, strike lines 2-4 and substitute the 
following:              
		(1)  the district is the second largest district in the 
county in which at least 48 percent of the students are 
educationally disadvantaged according to the data provided through 
the Public Education Information Management System for the fall 
semester of the 2004-2005 school year.
	(3)  On page 17, strike lines 5-6 and renumber accordingly.
