Amend CSSB 696 (Senate committee printing) as follows:                       
	(1)  In Section 1 of the bill, in added Section 521.273(c), 
Transportation Code (page 1, line 17), between "if" and "the" 
insert ", in the year preceding the date of renewal of the 
license,".
	(2)  In Section 1 of the bill, in added Section 521.273(c), 
Transportation Code, (page 1, line 20), between "suspended" and 
"by" insert "due to one or more incidents involving the operation of 
a motor vehicle".
	(3)  Strike Sections 2, 3, and 4 of the bill (page 1, lines 
22-50) and renumber the remaining sections of the bill 
appropriately.
