Amend SB 1772 by striking SECTION 6 of the bill (Senate 
engrossment, page 15, lines 9-10) and substituting the following:
	SECTION 6.  NO ADDITIONAL POWERS OR DUTIES; RETAIL WATER 
UTILITY SERVICE.  (a)  This Act does not grant any additional powers 
or duties to the district.
	(b)  The district may not provide additional retail water 
utility service in the corporate boundaries of the City of Mesquite 
other than the service provided on the effective date of this Act 
without obtaining the city's consent.
