Amend CSSJR 14 as follows:                                                   
	(1)  In SECTION 1 of the joint resolution, in added Section 
18A, strike proposed Subsection (a) (page 1, lines 15-18, committee 
report) and substitute the following:
	(a)  The Commissioners Court of Potter or Randall County may 
call an election in the county to abolish the office of constable 
countywide or in a specified precinct.
	(2)  In SECTION 2 of the joint resolution, strike the text of 
the ballot proposition (page 2, lines 18-20, committee report) and 
substitute the following:

"The constitutional amendment allowing Potter or Randall County to 
abolish and reinstate the office of constable in the county or in a 
precinct of the county."
