AUTHOR'S/SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

In 1989, Chapter 324 (Park and Recreation District and Park Bonds: Counties with Frontage on Guadalupe and Comal Rivers), Local Government Code, was enacted to allow a county, with river frontage on both the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers, to create a park and recreation district in the unincorporated area of the county.

H.B. 422 amends the statute to allow the district to run more smoothly and bring more equity to the district's taxing authority.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
