AUTHOR'S/SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

The current definition for an antique boat classifies any boat manufactured prior to 1968 as the standard for this definition.  This prevents other boats, as they age, from being considered for inclusion in the antique boat classification.

H.B. 942 allows any boat to be included in the antique boat classification after it is 35 years old or more.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
