AUTHOR'S/SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

 

C.S.H.B. 1339 specifies who may be appointed as a voting proxy for a legislative member of the policy board of a metropolitan planning organization.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.

 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1.  Amends Section 472.031, Transportation Code, by adding Subsection (c), to authorize a legislative member of a policy board of a metropolitan planning organization to only appoint a proxy under Subsection (a) who is the legislative member's employee or staff member; is a certain person related to the member; is another legislative member of the policy board; or a locally elected official. 

 

SECTION 2.  Effective date:  upon passage or September 1, 2005.
