AUTHOR'S/SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
The Texas Department of State Health Services (department) employs guidelines for how mold assessors and remediators are licensed in the State of Texas. The current examination requires that mold assessors and remediators attain a minimal score of 80 percent. All other examinations administered by the department require a minimum passing score of 70 percent in order for applicants to obtain a license.
H.B. 2746 equalizes the standards used by the department so that all examination requirements are set at 70 percent.
