RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution.

ANALYSIS

The bill designates a bridge connecting the east and west levee of the Trinity River in Dallas, located on Spur 366 (Woodall Rodgers Freeway), as the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.

EFFECTIVE DATE

September 1, 2005.

COMPARISON OF ORIGINAL TO SUBSTITUTE

The substitute states that private funds paid to the Department of Transportation in grants and donations would be used for the design and construction of the bridge markers.  The Department of Transportation would not be responsible for funding the markers.
