AUTHOR'S/SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

 

H.B. 3199 clarifies when terms of the 410th District Court in Montgomery County begin. 

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.

 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1.  Amends Section 24.110(b), Government Code, to provide that the terms of the 410th District Court begin on the first, rather than the third, Monday in January and the first Monday in July.  Deletes existing text relating to terms of the court that begin on the eighth Monday after the first Monday in January, the third Monday in July, and the 10th Monday after the first Monday in July.  

 

SECTION 2.  Effective date: September 1, 2005.
