AUTHOR'S/SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

Currently, continuing professional education by correspondence is only available to plumbers living in a county with a population of 100,000 people or less.   This limits plumbers' choices regarding their preferred method of continuing education. As proposed, S.B. 180 removes the population restriction on the option for plumbers to take correspondence courses for continuing education.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
