AUTHOR'S/SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

Current law imposes a limit of 22 students per classroom in kindergarten through fourth grades but does not address enrollment limits in prekindergarten classes. As proposed, S.B. 606 adds prekindergarten classes to the statute governing class-size limits.
