AUTHOR'S/SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
The Sexual Assault Prevention and Crisis Services Program was transferred from the Texas Department of Health to the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) during the 75th Legislature, Regular Session, 1997, by H.B. 2561. When the transfer occurred, statutory references were changed to reflect the program's location at the OAG, but a cross reference in Article 57.02(a), Code of Criminal Procedure, was not changed.
S.B. 1126 amends the cross reference to reflect that the program is now located in the OAG.
