AUTHOR'S/SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

The Legislative Budget Board made several recommendations relating to eliminating seldom-used, duplicative, or unnecessary reports by state agencies.  Several of these recommendations were implemented through the appropriations bill, but two reports which are currently required by law must be eliminated statutorily.

As proposed, S.B. 1575 repeals sections of the Government Code requiring two reports: the Training and Expense Report and the Nonresident Bidder Report.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
