BILL ANALYSIS
By: Harris
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE
Currently, hospital district administrators in counties of at least 190,000 people serve two-year terms and at the will of the hospital district board.
As proposed, S.B. 1769 increases the term from two years to four years. Administrators will still serve at the will of the hospital district board.
RULEMAKING AUTHORITY
It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution.
