H.B. No. 365




AN ACT

relating to the date of the election of directors for the Coastal 
Bend Groundwater Conservation District.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 11(b), Chapter 1294, Acts of the 77th 
Legislature, Regular Session, 2001, is amended to read as follows:
	(b)  On the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November
[Saturday in May] of each subsequent second year following the 
election, the appropriate number of directors shall be elected.
	SECTION 2.  A person serving as a member of the board of 
directors of the Coastal Bend Groundwater Conservation District on 
the effective date of this Act shall continue to serve until the 
election and qualification of a new director for that position.
	SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
