A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the issuance of Star of Texas license plates.                     
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Subchapter E, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, 
is amended by adding Section 504.414 to read as follows:
	Sec. 504.414.  STAR OF TEXAS RECIPIENTS.  The department 
shall issue without charge specialty license plates for persons who 
are recipients of a Star of Texas Award under Chapter 3105, 
Government Code.  The license plates shall bear the words "Star of 
Texas."
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
