A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the fee for certain private club alcoholic beverage 
permits.    
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 32.02(d), Alcoholic Beverage Code, is 
amended to read as follows:
	(d)  A permit holder who has elected to restrict the holder's 
authorized activities under the permit as provided by Section 
32.01(b) [of this code] shall pay an original permit fee of $750
[$1,500] and an annual renewal fee of $750 [$1,500].
	SECTION 2.  The change in law made by this Act applies only 
to an application for an original or renewal private club permit 
that is filed on or after the effective date of this Act.  An 
application for an original or renewal permit filed before the 
effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect 
immediately before that date, and that law is continued in effect 
for that purpose.
	SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
