A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the certification of compliance with existing 
requirements by metal recycling entities.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Chapter 1956, Occupations Code, is amended by 
adding Section 1956(c) to read as follows:
	(c)  A person that sells or otherwise transfers to a metal 
recycling entity any of the items referenced in subsection (a) must 
submit a certification to the department, within ten (10) days of 
the transfer, that it has complied with the requirements of this 
section.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
