A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the juvenile boards of Grimes, Leon, Madison, and Walker Counties. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 152.0991(b), Human Resources Code, is amended to read as follows: (b) The commissioners court shall pay the juvenile board members additional annual compensation set by the commissioners court at not less than $1,200 annually [$100 nor more than $300], payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county. SECTION 2. Sections 152.1511(a) and (b), Human Resources Code, are amended to read as follows: (a) The juvenile board of Leon County is composed of the county judge and the district judges in Leon County [judges of the 12th and 278th Judicial Districts]. (b) The commissioners court shall pay the juvenile board members additional annual compensation set by the commissioners court at not less than $1,200 annually [$100 nor more than $300], payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county. SECTION 3. Section 152.1631(b), Human Resources Code, is amended to read as follows: (b) The commissioners court shall pay the juvenile board members additional annual compensation set by the commissioners court at not less than $1,200 annually [$100 nor more than $300], payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county. SECTION 4. Section 152.2421(b), Human Resources Code, is amended to read as follows: (b) The commissioners court shall pay the juvenile board members additional annual compensation of not less than $1,200 [an annual salary of $600], payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county. SECTION 5. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
