A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the court house security fund                                     
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        

SECTION 1.  Chapter 102, Article 102.017, Code of Criminal 
Procedure, is amended by adding subsection (f), as follows:
	(f)  For justice courts not housed within a county 
courthouse, 30% of the cost of court required by subsection (b), 
shall be deposited into a fund to be known as the Justice Court 
Building Security Fund, to be administered by or under the 
direction of the commissioner's court, to be utilized exclusively 
to finance, purchase, install and maintain items used for providing 
the security services as set out in subsection (d) for a building 
housing a justice court within in the county, outside of the 
county's courthouse.

SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
