A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the sale or conveyance of the Presidio International 
Bridge.    
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Chapter 472, Transportation Code, is amended by 
adding Subchapter E to read as follows:

SUBCHAPTER E: PRESIDIO INTERNATIONAL BRIDGE
	Section 472.040.  SALE OR CONVEYANCE.  (a)  The Department of 
Transportation is authorized to sell or convey the Presidio 
International Bridge to the City of Presidio and the County of 
Presidio.
	(b)  Such sale or conveyance must comply with all state and 
federal rules governing such a transaction.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives 
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as 
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this 
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this 
Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
