A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to abolishing the Agriculture Resources Protection 
Authority.      
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  The Agriculture Resources Protection Authority 
is abolished and Section 76.009, Agriculture Code, is repealed.
	SECTION 2.  Any unobligated funds, property, and records of 
the Agriculture Resources Protection Authority are governed by the 
Texas Sunset Act (Chapter 325, Government Code) in the same manner 
as funds, property, and records of a state agency abolished under 
that Act, and the authority and the Texas Workforce Commission 
shall make a reasonable effort to relocate any employees displaced 
because the authority is abolished.
	SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
