A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to a violation of the suspension, refusal, or revocation 
of a hunting license.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 12.505, Parks and Wildlife Code, is 
amended to read as follows:
	Sec. 12.505.  VIOLATION OF SUSPENSION, REFUSAL, OR 
REVOCATION.  (a) A person may not engage [who engages] in an 
activity requiring a permit or license during the time for which 
such license or permit has been suspended, refused, or revoked.
	(b)  Notwithstanding any other law, a person may not:                   
		(1)  hunt any animal, including a bird, during a time in 
which:      
			(A)  the person's hunting license is suspended or 
revoked; or       
			(B)  the department, under a court order, is 
prohibited from issuing the person a license under Chapter 42 or 50; 
or
		(2)  fish in the public waters of this state during a 
time in which: 
			(A)  the person's fishing license is suspended or 
revoked; or       
			(B)  the department, under a court order, is 
prohibited from issuing the person a license under Chapter 46 or 50.
	(c)  An [commits an] offense under this section [that] is a 
Class A Parks and Wildlife Code misdemeanor.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
