A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the permit applications for municipal housing and other 
structures.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Subchapter E, Section 214.163, Local Government 
Code, is amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
	(c)  a person is prohibited from obtaining a commercial 
building permit if the land in which the building is to be built on 
has been exposed to asbestos and local, state, or federal agencies 
are investigating the site.
