H.C.R. No. 200


HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Bo Bolton is retiring from North Lamar High School in Paris after two decades of outstanding service to the students of his community; and WHEREAS, Mr. Bolton, a teacher of auto service technology and introduction to transportation services, joined the staff of North Lamar High School in 1985; and WHEREAS, A highly respected educator, he has been named Teacher of the Year by North Lamar High School, North Lamar ISD, the Texas Vocational Technical Association, the Texas Auto Mechanics Teacher Association, Valvoline, and Mitsubishi, to name but a few of the organizations that have honored him for his efforts; and WHEREAS, Over the course of his career, this notable Texan has led his SkillsUSA teams to win countless district competitions, 15 state championships, and six national titles; and WHEREAS, Bo Bolton has been a guiding influence in the lives of many students; his dedication to excellence in education has earned him the respect and admiration of his pupils and colleagues, and it is appropriate to take this opportunity to recognize him; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the 79th Legislature of the State of Texas hereby commend Bo Bolton for his exemplary career with North Lamar High School and extend to him sincere best wishes for a happy and rewarding retirement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Bolton as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
