H.C.R. No. 217
HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Carol Rhodes has earned the 2005 Texas Crime Victim
Clearinghouse Award; and
WHEREAS, A victim impact coordinator for the Lamar County
Adult Probation Department, this respected professional has been
honored for outstanding leadership in a probation-based program;
and
WHEREAS, Ms. Rhodes oversees the 6th District Community
Supervision and Corrections Department Victims Impact Panel, which
gives offenders an opportunity to hear how crime affects the lives
of others; and
WHEREAS, This worthwhile endeavor has surely benefited
countless Texas residents, and the citizens of Lamar County are
truly fortunate to have a dedicated individual such as Carol Rhodes
living and working among them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the 79th Legislature of the State of Texas
hereby congratulate Carol Rhodes on earning the 2005 Texas Crime
Victim Clearinghouse Award and extend to her sincere best wishes
for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Rhodes as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives and Senate.
