R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Cindy Parten is retiring from her position as 
bailiff for the Tarrant County court system on January 31, 2005, 
bringing to a close an outstanding career in government service; 
and
	WHEREAS, Over the course of her tenure with Tarrant County, 
Ms. Parten has ably served under Judges William L. Hughes, Jr., John 
G. Street, Dixon W. Holman, Bob McCoy, and David L. Evans; and
	WHEREAS, This esteemed public servant received her peace 
officer certification in 1994 and, before beginning her career in 
Fort Worth, worked for the San Jacinto County and Montgomery County 
sheriff's departments; and
	WHEREAS, A devoted wife and mother as well, she takes pride in 
the fulfilling relationships she shares with her large and loving 
family; and
	WHEREAS, Throughout her many years of service in the 
courtroom, Cindy Parten has helped to safeguard the welfare of 
countless people, and it is most fitting that she be commended for 
her commitment to excellence as she embarks on the next exciting 
chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Cindy Parten on the occasion of her 
retirement and commend her for her notable career in the field of 
law enforcement; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Parten as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
