R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Dane Hooker has deservedly been named the Junior 
High Youth of the Year by the Sweeny Chamber of Commerce; and
	WHEREAS, The Youth of the Year award was created to honor 
Sweeny students who have made notable contributions to their school 
and community; and
	WHEREAS, One of Sweeny's most exceptional students, Mr. 
Hooker has excelled in all areas of academic work, especially 
mathematics, where he ranks at the top of his honors class; 
moreover, his amiable nature has earned him the admiration of his 
teachers as well as his peers; and
	WHEREAS, In addition, this impressive young Texan has shown 
himself to be a leader through his faithful work and attendance at 
Sweeny Church of Christ; and
	WHEREAS, Dane Hooker is a source of great pride for his 
family, his school, and the citizens of Sweeny, and he will 
undoubtedly enjoy a bright and rewarding future; now, therefore, be 
it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Dane Hooker on being named the 
Junior High Youth of the Year by the Sweeny Chamber of Commerce and 
extend to him sincere best wishes for success in all his future 
endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Hooker as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
