R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The passing of Lucy E. Terrell of San Antonio on September 21, 2004, at the age of 86, has deeply saddened the family and friends of this esteemed woman; and WHEREAS, A native Texan, the former Lucy Johnson was born on April 19, 1918, in the Alamo City; she married Jack A. Terrell as a young woman, and the couple's marriage was blessed with two sons, Jack and James; and WHEREAS, A Methodist by faith, Mrs. Terrell was also a valued member of the Order of the Eastern Star; and WHEREAS, Lucy Terrell was beloved by her family and friends, and she will long be remembered in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lucy E. Terrell and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her son, James A. Terrell and his wife, Carolyn Wells; to her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Terrell; to her grandchildren, Allen J. Terrell and his wife, Anabell, and Travis Norton Terrell; to her two great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lucy E. Terrell.
