R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 70th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on March 21, 2005, Robert and Maebelle Good of 
Houston are marking this momentous milestone in their lives; and
	WHEREAS, The Goods were joined in marriage in 1935 in a 
ceremony held at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in 
Sterling, Illinois; through the years, their close and enduring 
relationship has served as an inspiration to their wide circle of 
loved ones and has been the source of much happiness and contentment 
for these two committed individuals; and
	WHEREAS, The couple has been blessed with two sons and two 
daughters-in-law, Dr. Earl Good and his wife, Carolyn, and Paul 
Good and his wife, Ava, and they also take great pride in their 
three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Respected members of the Spring Branch community for 
three decades, the Goods enjoy attending Terrace United Methodist 
Church; together, they have nurtured a strong bond of love and 
filled each other's lives with great joy, and it is indeed a 
privilege to join in honoring this devoted couple at this time; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Robert and Maebelle Good on the 
occasion of their 70th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Good as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
